Setup InstructionsMountain West Bank and Mountain West Bank of Kalispell customers:Welcome to our newly improved website. We are pleased to offer you many new Internet banking features and enhancements. Our goal in upgrading our site is to deliver “Internet Banking Excellence”, the best the Internet has to offer, to you our valued customer. We would love to tell you all about this exciting new system, but perhaps the best way to begin is to have you sign in and see for yourself. Here are a few important things you should know as you get started:1.)This site supports both Mountain West Bank (covering Helena, Great Falls, Bozeman, and Missoula) and Mountain West Bank of Kalispell (covering Kalispell and Whitefish). There is now one single Internet banking login window that supports all of our customers. The login window is located in the upper left corner of each page. For more on the new login process click here. 2.) Your previous Internet banking user password and Bill Pay information were not converted or moved to the new system. After careful review and consideration it was determined that the new systems’ security requirements and features would make it impractical to attempt a conversion. We hope that you will find the new setup process simple and straightforward. For more on conversion and setup questions click here. 3.) We are serious about protecting your identity and personal information. We have implemented many new security enhancements including Multi-Factor authentication (referred to as the On-Guard security system on our site), 128 bit SSL encryption of all traffic, including your login information, and improved firewall systems. During the initial sign on process you will also choose your own “login” id and will no longer use your social security number to access the system. For more on new security features click here. 4.) New Internet banking features for businesses - All consumer and business customers begin with the same new user setup process. For business customers who would like access to additional Internet Banking features, a request can be made to convert their account to our new Internet business-banking product. The basic business banking product and services are free. For more on Internet business banking features click here. 5.) As you complete the initial sign on and user setup process, you will have the option to automatically enroll in our new *free Bill Pay service. Bill Pay is now integrated into our new Internet banking system and no longer requires a separate login and password. It is provided by Metavante Corporation and considered to be one of the top Bill Pay services available. In addition to the free service we also offer additional upgraded services. For more on the new Bill Pay system click here. 6.) One of the most anticipated features of the new system is the ability to see your account transactions / detail in a “Real Time” view. As items and transactions are posted to your account throughout the day, they will be immediately viewable in the Internet Banking system. This new feature also requires that we display two different balances for your account – an “Available” account balance and a “Current” account balance. The Current Balance (ledger/book balance) represents the actual dollars in your account at the time that your account is being accessed. Items such as uncleared checks, checks you have written but have not yet reached the bank for payment, will create differences between the bank's current balance and your check register. The Available Balance represents your current balance (ledger/book balance) plus attached lines of credit, attached savings or money market accounts and/or Overdraft Privilege funds that are included on the account. 7.) Another great feature of the new site is the interface / download capabilities with Quicken, Quickbooks, and Microsoft Money. We now support the OFX file formats for both Mac and PC. This includes both Direct Connect and Web Connect interfaces. 8.) The first time you get signed in, we recommend that you review your accounts, balances, and transactions. There are account configuration settings that can impact the way some information is viewed. If you see issues with your account, please contact a New Accounts representative at your local Mountain West Bank branch office. 9.) Need help? We are anxious to assist you with any problems or questions that you may have with the new Internet banking system. Please contact a New Accounts representative at your local Mountain West Bank branch office or try the new internal messaging system when you log in to your account. Please follow these steps to establish your Internet banking account and complete the initial login to the system.
