$8,000 Tax Credit Offered for First Time Homebuyers

As part of the recent stimulus package, a tax credit of $8,000 for first time homebuyers has been implemented for 2009. Do you qualify?

If you have not owned a home in the previous three years, you could qualify for the $8,000 tax credit on your 2009 income tax return. The purchase must be for a primary residence and closed before December 1, 2009. The credit does not have to be repaid unless you sell the home within 36 months of purchase.
